Coming off the back of a serial killer book, getting in a four-wheel drive with a tent, an unreliable car fridge and a beautiful girl who could write like a storm seemed like a perfect change in direction. And it was. Amy and I investigated the stories behind all those grim place names like, well, Cape Grim, Mount Treachery and Massacre Lake as well as telling a little about what these places are like now. We ended up at Mount Buggery with rings on our fingers – dried apple rings – and a great yarn ready to tell.
