Granny Killer – The Story of John Glover by Les Kennedy and Mark Whittaker

Granny Killer NewHarper Collins (1992)

Les and I had our training wheels on for this one, the story of the serial killer who stalked Sydney’s north shore in the late 80s. I don’t think I’d ever read a true crime book until I started reading up in the genre as we set out to write one. It was just as well for us that Glover turned out to be such an interesting character, from his tortured relationship with his fast-and-loose mother to the terrible denouement at Beauty Point with his last girlfriend, it was enough to make us strive to do better next time.
